Ash & Rowan Family Dentistry has always provided excellent and professional care. On one occasion I walked in to schedule an appointment for a broken tooth. They told me to wait just a very few minutes and the dentist would see me now, did not want me to suffer with a broken tooth. So happy to have found these dentists and team. So friendly, reassuring and non judgmental (it had been a WHILE) They take Cigna insurance so that was also a plus for me. They got me in very quickly, were able to get everything done in one sitting and it was a really great experience considering it involves pain. (But not much thanks to their work!). Laura and Dr K were awesome as was the kind woman who had to give me 4 shots of numbing agent. Jennifer at the front was so great to work with too. Do yourself a favor and download/do the paperwork at home!

I highly recommend this dental office. They are all efficient and the office is spotless. Most of all for me was the friendliness of everyone there. I would be the first to admit that I hate going to the dentist due to horrible childhood experiences that I have never forgotten. Finding a new dentist in Spokane after moving here was hard for me. This was my first tooth cleaning with Kathy at Ash and Rowan and I was amazed at what a different experience it was for me. She made sure I felt no pain and talked me through the entire cleaning. Thank you Kathy for changing my opinion. :)

My appointment was at 7:00 in the morning and they got me out of there by 7:30 very efficient staff.
I broke a tooth and was convinced I would need a crown. My regular Dentist was on vacation. Your office got me in the next day. I was given the option of trying a repair before going straight to spending big bucks. Everyone in the office from the front desk to the Dentist were so kind and helpful. I'll keep coming back.

My visit to the dental clinic was generally positive, although I encountered a bit of an issue with the dental assistant who was molding my dentures. When I proposed the idea of having a mold of my daughter's teeth, adjusted to fit my mouth since we share the same teeth structure, she immediately dismissed it, saying it was impossible. Initially, the dental assistant had insisted that I would be limited to the structure of my own teeth, However, when I discussed it with the dentist, he understood my request and confirmed that it could be done,he also explained that if I didn’t want the shade of my teeth they would just have to adjust it by removing the teeth and putting a different shade in but the dentist clarified that my request was feasible. provided I paid the molding fee. Overall, I found the dentist to be very accommodating and supportive of my preferences.
The appt went great. I had to adjust the time in the same day which I could NOT believe they were able to do! I got right in on my appt time. The dental work was all explained very well, the work itself was all done in a very professional manner & you can see the expertise of experience in their work. Everything went well & they were so quick with the work that we were able to do a few extra steps. Ready for next appt!!! I’d recommend this Dentistry unit any day- every day
The people are great, the work is great but the scheduling sucks. I needed two crowns in the front. I had to reschedule my appointment because my dad passed away and had to wait another month just to get in. That was frustrating.

Monday morning I had a 30 year old crown decide to fall out. Called for an appointment- they got me in at noon, glued it back in, scary in the morning- happy in the afternoon. Plus they explained everything ,and if it comes off again, what to expect. Great team!

My teeth feel great after my cleaning. The office is extremely clean. I highly recommend switching to this office.
I don't like to go to the dentist, but over the years I have tolerated the process by getting nitrous and my music. I ask the tech to tap me on the shoulder if she needs me to do something as I have my music on. She did ok with the cleaning, but kept talking to me, I was having trouble understanding, but was able to get thru it. At some point she turned off the nitrous, turned on the oxygen, at no time telling me what she was doing or that we were done, and disappeared. At no time did she check to see how I was doing with anything. I saw her again to schedule my next cleaning, but just the date was confirmed, when the next appt was scheduled. I wasn't impressed by her manner or customer service. She wasnt very friendly and didnt keep me informed of what was going on. On the way out of the office I checked to see that she hadn't scheduled me to another appt with her to do my cleaning as I don't want her working with me again.
Dr K and the staff was outstanding on this visit. I had some work done abroad that needed some tweaking. Their suggestions and care were of utmost importance. They also fit me in for an emergency appointment with less than 1 hour`s notice. Thanks to you!

Recently they called to offer a different appointment time due to an upcoming storm. That was very considerate. After being with them all these years, I am no longer terrified of the dentist!

Dr. Saffers and his staff are the best. A tooth that held my bridge in place broke so my dental bridge was unstable. Of course this happens on the Friday before Christmas. Dr. Saffers staff squeezed me into their very busy schedule. He was able to take care of my difficult dental problem so that I would not have to go through the holidays in pain. Plus FYI he is very good at giving you the needles to numb the dental area. You barely felt anything. Plus his dental assistant Nick is fabulous and very well trained also. I highly recommend this dental clinic. I have been seeing doctor Saffers for years and he is the best.
I have been going to Ash & Rowan Family Dentistry since I was a child. The employee's are always kind and helpful. My last experience was quite painful. I believe they record in their patience files if the patient uses laughing gas. I was not offered laughing gas at any time during my visit, and I normally use it. I needed a cleaning and a filling. But because of insurance reasons I had not had a cleaning in quite a while. I also had to have a filling done in an area close to the soft flesh that attaches the tongue to the jaw. To my knowledge there was no protection put in place to prevent a cut from occurring. In this area there was a small deep cut was left by the tool that was used to clean out the tooth. My parents have also been going to Ash & Rowan for a long time and have never had something like this happen to them. My thoughts are it was an inexperienced staff issue. The staff might be trained well in the science of dentistry, but could use some more training in how to take care of a patients needs beyond their teeth.
The entire staff is friendly and personable. They make us feel like family. Jennifer is especially helpful when it comes to getting the information needed about my insurance coverage.
Thank you, fellas! I have extreme anxiety for dentists and this dentist and his assistant Nick made me feel comfortable and heard me when I expressed my fear. They did such a wonderful job in repairing a broken molar and replaced it with a crown ~ with ease ~ and my anxiety was gone after about 10 minutes of being in their care. They both have a gentle touch, explain in good enough detail should you have a question and I highly recommend them. The whole staff is friendly and very welcoming and appear to be a fun team! Great experience, my hygenist Nhi was very thorough, but also gentle. I appreciated not having my jaw hurt from rushed or rough hands. My dentist was also very thorough, and explained certain aspects of the jaw or my teeth. I always appreciate when medical professionals help me to understand the why to things. This was my first visit, and I am happy to have gotten established with such an awesome dentist! If you are in the area and need to come here, I would highly recommend.

I have been going to Ash and Rowan Family Dentistry for years! They’ve always been so nice and efficient when getting you in and out.
Since retiring from the military and settling in Spokane, we've been pleased with the care our family has received from Ash and Rowan. My criteria selecting a dental clinic was first that they accept our insurance (check) and second that the practice has more than one exceptional dentist so there wouldn't be long waits for the odd emergency appointments (check, check). They've kept us coming back with fair pricing, honest billing, effective yet gentle techs for cleanings and solid recommendations for service providers as needed for specialty care. And, in all my years experiencing dentists treatment in various locals I've never had such consistently superior pain management. Both doctors' pain management skills are commendable. I have never had to fear injections and they both have never ceased to ask if I was still comfortable during any procedure.
I was very very anxious about going to the dentist. The office took that very serious and understood my anxiety. They offered me nitrous to calm me and walked me through the every stop. The assistant Nick even calmed me by putting his hand on my shoulder and telling me I was doing great! The work they did was phenomenal as well! I highly recommend them!

As someone who has pretty severe anxiety regarding dentists, finding to Ash and Rowan has been life changing. Everyone, from the doctors, hygienists and staff, are super friendly and funny. I never felt judged for my years of failing to routinely visit a dentist prior to finding this office. I no longer dread going to the dentist.

I’ve had some pretty horrible cleaning experiences with past hygienists (which makes me flinch). Mikal was able to make the cleaning both relaxing and easy. She has some pretty nifty fits too. I’d recommend her for any of your cleaning needs.
Definitely the best dentist I've ever been to! I can't use topical, so I have to feel the needle for my numbing, but the dentist was so skillful that it barely hurt. My filling feels AMAZING and I am so, so glad they were able to adjust my appointment on the fly, so I could get a more severe cavity filled. All in all, I'm super glad I decided to go with this dentist. Everyone there is wonderful, especially the front desk lady!! She makes payment and understanding the treatment plans a breeze. :)
The minute I walked in the door I was greeted by my name and with a smile. My dental hygienist was wonderful. She was very gentle and my anxiety was gone within minutes of meeting her. My dentist was the same. My overall experience was amazing. They make a great team! 😁

Such accommodating group of professionals. My experience with the dentists and staff at Ash & Rowan family dentistry is like hanging out with family. I was experiencing pain in an old root canal from a previous dentist. My husband calls in for me, they get me in within two hours. From the time I arrived in the friendly waiting area, the staff took care of me, showing concern and wanting to help. Dr. S, is a great dentist. I love my dentist Dr. Jason K, he did such an amazing job on fixing my tooth. You can’t even tell it broke. Also he is the sweetest dentist to, great bedside manner and really cares if his patient needs a break or if it hurts and you need more numbing medicine and more. Have been going to Dr. Saffer for years since our last excellent dentist Dr. Obde retired. Thought we couldn't replace him but we are very satisfied.

Ash & Rowan Dentistry has been my dental care service provider for years. They continually provide the utmost courtesy, care and friendliness. When I didn't have dental insurance or the money for an extensive appointment or I didn't come in as often as I should - they always understood. I loved that I could come in when I felt like I could afford to do so and they always understood. We would go over costs so that I could save for the next appointment. I now have dental insurance and have extensive work done with Ash & Rowan Dentistry - it is one of the appointments I do not dread going to.
